01 · Plain English

What does Google Workspace support include?

Google Workspace support covers setting up, securing and managing your company’s Google accounts and apps (Gmail, Drive and shared drives, Calendar, Meet and the admin console behind them), plus helping your people when something doesn’t work.

Google Workspace is easy to start and easy to outgrow. A business opens a few accounts, files spread across personal Drives, and before long nobody knows which documents are shared outside the company, or who still has access after leaving.

We’re a Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Naples. Google Workspace management is part of every managed plan, right alongside Microsoft 365. We support both, so our advice about which one fits you isn’t a sales pitch.

02 · The share button

Sharing and security settings we check first

Google made sharing effortless, which is great until a client list is one forwarded link away from anyone on the internet. Many Google Workspace security problems start in the share dialog.

03 · Honest answer

Google Workspace or Microsoft 365?

We support both, so we don’t have a horse in this race. Both are solid, secure platforms when they’re set up properly. The right choice usually comes down to how your team works and what your industry software expects.

Google Workspace tends to fit when

Your team lives in the browser and collaborates in real time

You don’t depend on desktop Excel or Word features

Your industry apps integrate with Google

You want a simpler admin experience

Microsoft 365 tends to fit when

You rely on desktop Office apps and complex spreadsheets

Your practice, accounting or compliance software expects Microsoft

You want Teams for chat and meetings

You need deeper device management and compliance tools in one place

Already on one and wondering about the other? We’ll look at how you actually work and tell you honestly whether a move is worth it. Often it isn’t.

04 · Moving day

Google Workspace migrations, either direction

Moving email, calendars, contacts and files between platforms is mostly preparation. Done carefully, your team logs in on Monday and everything is just there.

01

Discover

We inventory accounts, aliases, groups, shared drives and anything under a retention requirement.

02

Pilot

A small group moves first, so surprises show up with a few people instead of everyone.

03

Migrate

Email, calendars, contacts and files move in the background, followed by a final sync.

04

Cut over

DNS and email authentication records are updated off-hours, and we stay close for the first couple of days.

As a rough guide, offices with 5 to 15 users usually take one to three days, and 15 to 75 users usually take one to two weeks.

05 · Which plan includes this?

Google Workspace management comes with every plan

Endpoint Starter, Pro and 360 all include Google Workspace management and help desk support. Migrations are quoted as a project, and backup can be added to any plan.

06 · Questions owners ask us

Google Workspace support FAQ

What is Google Workspace support?

Google Workspace support covers setting up, securing and managing your company’s Google accounts and apps, including Gmail, Drive and shared drives, Calendar, Meet and the admin console, plus help desk support for your staff when something doesn’t work.

Is Google Workspace secure?

Google Workspace has strong security features, but several important ones need to be configured: enforcing 2-Step Verification, limiting external sharing, reviewing third-party app access and setting up email authentication. Most problems come from default settings and old sharing links, not from Google.

What’s the difference between My Drive and shared drives?

Files in My Drive belong to the person who created them, so they can disappear with that person. Files in a shared drive belong to the company. Moving business files into shared drives is one of the first things we recommend.

Does Google back up my data?

Google keeps the service running and offers trash, version history and some retention tools. That isn’t the same as a separate backup you control. A Google Workspace backup protects against deleted accounts, ransomware-synced files and data removed past retention windows.

Should we use Google Workspace or Microsoft 365?

Both work well when set up properly. Google tends to fit browser-first teams that collaborate in real time; Microsoft tends to fit teams that rely on desktop Office apps or industry software built around Microsoft. We support both and will tell you honestly which fits.

Can you migrate us from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace?

Yes, and the other direction too. We move email, calendars, contacts and files, pilot with a small group first and do the final cutover off-hours.

Can Google Workspace be used for HIPAA?

Google offers a business associate agreement for certain Workspace services. It needs to be accepted and the account configured properly, with access controls, sharing limits and audit logging. We handle the technical side; compliance decisions stay with your practice.

What happens to a departed employee’s Google account?

We stop sign-in right away, transfer their Drive files and email to the right person, remove them from groups and shared drives and free up the license. Deleting an account without transferring files first can lose data, so we do it in that order.

Can you help us find files shared with “anyone with the link”?

Yes. We review your sharing settings and reports, flag files that are open to the internet or to people outside the company and help you close them without breaking the ones that need to stay shared.

Is Google Workspace management included in your plans?

Yes. Endpoint Starter, Pro and 360 all include Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace management, along with help desk support. Migrations are quoted as a separate project.
